At ad:tech New York last year, while there were plenty of conversations happening on the expo floor, there was also a lot of chatter happening in the Twitter-sphere as well. Be it the latest news stories to come out of the conference, or the best statements made by a speaker during a session, Twitter was abuzz with the #adtechNY hashtag during the event.
However, there is a downside to having so many tweets sent out together at an event. Attendees trying to keep track of what’s going on by following a hashtag on Twitter will find themselves inundated with a flood of 140-character messages.
